What to Expect During a Procell Treatment?

A Procell treatment at Ashtyn Kimberly Aesthetics starts with preparing the treatment area. Your provider will sanitize your skin with an isopropyl alcohol prep pad to ensure that the treatment area is clean and that no foreign bacteria will be introduced to the skin during the microchanneling process.

Once your treatment area is ready, your provider will apply a thin layer of Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum to moisturize the skin. Then, they will begin “stamping” with the Procell microchanneling device, focusing on small sections (about three fingers’ width in length) at a time.

Your provider will use the Procell microneedling device to open thousands of microchannels across the treatment area. The device will move up and down across your skin, overlapping by roughly 50–75% with the previous stamp. Your provider will be watching for a pink color (like a mild sunburn) to ensure that your immune system is responding to the micro-injuries.

If your provider is not getting the desired inflammation response, they will go back and retreat the area. They may lightly pull on your skin to stimulate the epidermis and increase the Procell microneedling device’s efficacy.

After microchannels have been opened across the entire treatment area, your provider will liberally apply Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum. The serum absorbs into the microchannels, penetrating deep into the skin to promote even more collagen and elastin production.

A Procell microneedling treatment finishes with our specially formulated hydration mask, which uses hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and other nutrients to improve your recovery time.
